Well Society member Jamie Campbell often pops in to see us for a cuppa when he is on his travels from his native Liverpool.
But this week he got an in-depth tour of Fir Park on top. Jamie is bidding to visit all 42 SPFL member clubs and raise money for Dementia UK and a care home in his local area.
“My mum Doris has dementia, so it’s also about raising awareness,” said Jamie, who has now raised more than £300 and visited 26 stadia on his list.”
The Liverpool FC steward says the Steelmen are his “second team” and joined the Well Society last year.
“I’ve been up a number of times for a cuppa at the Chapman,” said Jamie, “but I hadn’t seen the boardroom or other areas of Fir Park until today. The club made me feel really welcome.
“I also got my semi-final ticket so I can’t wait for that. Motherwell is a fantastic community club that’s going places and it’s great to be part of it.”
