Your Voice, Your Vote

Two vacancies are opening up on The Well Society Board and we are looking for passionate, committed individuals to step forward by noon on Friday 11 April 2025.

Who is currently on the board?

The Well Society Board consists of up to nine elected members and three co-opted members. The current elected members are:

  • Greg Anderson, Sean Baillie, Martin Grey, Amber Johnstone, Gavin McCafferty, Philip Speedie, and Derek Watson

Our co-opted members are:

  • David Cullinan, Kevin Rogers, and Alison Thewliss

Under our Rules elected member Tom Feely is due to stand down, and offers himself for re-election. Jay Henderson has decided to step down, meaning we now have two vacancies to fill.

Who are we looking for?

We believe that diverse perspectives lead to better decisions and stronger connections. That’s why we’re committed to building a Board that truly represents our community and welcomes fresh ideas from all backgrounds.

If you’re passionate about fan ownership and making a difference, we encourage you to get involved. All members over 18 years old are welcome to apply, and we’re especially keen to hear from those who can bring new perspectives and lived experiences, including:

  • women
  • young people
  • people with disabilities
  • individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds
  • LGBTQ+Individuals

Beyond diverse voices, we’re also looking for members with expertise in key areas that can help drive The Well Society forward. If you have experience in any of the following, your skills could make a real impact:

  • Legal – help shape governance and decision-making with legal insight.
  • Finance and accounting – support financial planning, budgeting, and sustainability.
  • Project management – ensure initiatives run smoothly and achieve their goals.
  • Community engagement and outreach – strengthen relationships with fans and the wider community.
  • Fundraising and sponsorship – identify opportunities to secure resources and partnerships.

While these skills would be a fantastic asset, passion, commitment, and a desire to contribute matter just as much.
